Do I want to do this job?You will be working onsite at our West Des Moines clinic. You will work independently. You will conduct scans in an accurate, kind and consistent method when working with patients. You will have team members to lean on in times of assistance. You will gather information accurately and quickly about patients, their history, and situation. Our patients are hurting, so you are understanding that they may not always be super pleasant, however, they are very grateful. You will be responsible to represent DMOS in clinic. You will work in a place that expects outstanding experiences; we do this by working hard to assume the best and being curious with all around us. You will be naturally curious, friendly and helpful. You can work the hours for this position or assigned shift, because, ultimately, we are all here to help patients. (Hours: M - TH, 12PM - 8PM; Friday, 9AM - 5PM)
Can I do this job?You must be able to be on your feet and standing for this job. You must be able to help patients on and off a table. You must be steady on your feet. You have great typing and computer skills. You have to be able to use confidential information for patient care only. Patient information that gets shared in clinic, stays in clinic. You are able to be curious in conversations and practice active listening with compassion and empathy.
What does an outstanding X-Ray Tech have in terms of background? Successful candidates in clinic may have had experience in a medical facility conducting upper and lower extremity MR scans. A certificate in Magnetic Resonance (preferred). An active permit to practice in the state of Iowa.
